For sale is an original numbers matching 1971 Datsun 240Z. It was manufactured in February of 1971. The car has always been stored under covered parking. There are a few spots with minimal surface oxidation but no rust pitting or deep corrosion. Body 9.5/10. Never wrecked. Carbs were sent out to Z Therapy. I am the second owner. It was previously owned by a car enthusiast who was a family friend. The car still has the period specific American Racing wheels. Suspension has been rebuilt. 260z tranny in it right now but still have the original 240z transmission. Aftermarket exhaust because the original had a leak. Has the Toyota T-100 brakes. Could use a fresh coat of paint.
There are three photos I want to explain, those in succession with vehicle identification information. The first of those displays the Vin# and the Block number, matching the two up. You will need to really zoom in to read the numbers. This plate is located on the passenger side strut tower. The second is the VIN plate on the driver side door jam. Last is the numbers on the engine block.
This car has been a joy to own and is a blast to drive. Looking to find a good home for it…someone who will enjoy it as much as I have. It is a conversation starter everywhere I go.
Not in a hurry to sell this car so please no low ball offers. Posting it to get a feel for the market. If the offer is reasonable, you can drive it away.
I do not need help selling it.
Thank you for reading my post.
